Our story

We wanted the drink that was not on the shelf.

Coconut water, made into something you would be glad to be seen holding.

COCO HYDR8 started with Paul Quasten, who played professional football for sixteen years. In all those years he never found a drink he actually liked that did not come with a list of things he did not want in it. Together with Joël Noppers he decided to make it himself.

Look along a Dutch chiller in 2026 and you find cola, iced tea, flavoured water, energy drinks and sports drinks. Coconut water in a can is there, but a sparkling one that a grown-up would order on a terrace you will hardly find anywhere.

So we started from the drink rather than the category, and kept the recipe short. Two flavours are still, three are sparkling. What exactly goes into each can stays our secret for now.

We are a small Dutch company. The cans are filled to our recipe, shipped to a warehouse here, and sent out from there: to a webshop order, a club canteen, a padel club, a terrace and, later, a supermarket shelf.
